Updates

More Features

Well we have more features,

  1. !IMPORTANT! Images will now be resized automatically so you can upload any size and the system will wort out the resizing for you.
  2. Not uploading images but still asking for people to email or ASK for them will get your advert removed.
  3. 13/06/2019 Update to the rules, please read them, breaking rules can get you banned for a time.
  4. New: Scammers category added and in a nice neon pink, use their email and name not yours.
  5. Email links are no longer clickable this has been done because the harvesters have found away round it.
  6. DO NOT ask for offers or bids as the are trading laws about them and we don't track the offers and got involved in a case a few years back so we do not allow them at all. ONO is allowed because it is a based on a price and items. I.E. buying all the item for a lower price.
  7. For those who find it hard to read, if you put just 1 in the price field it will ask if you meant to put -1 for the multiple to be shown instead.
  8. !Bug! If you delete a image (uses a, b, c and d) it will not display the next image(s) on the form, you need to upload a consultative list of images for it to show all images.
  9. Images are now download each time the page is loaded, this means that if a image is uploaded it will force the browser to get the new image.
  10. New Google advertisement system is now automatically making changes to the external adverts, as I see a different page from you, I do not see the same as you so I cannot remove them. I have reported some as they are breaking the adsense rules and suggest people update their google profile.
  11. This site doesn't allow use of personal advert cookies like a lot of sites and means they are not targeted, this cuts into the proceeds and only due to the few donations this site stays afloat. I do this as a free service out of my own time.
  12. Update to the right menu system, Donate is now at the top where the forrum stats used to be due to breaking the layout.
Site suspended and then offline.

The web and email service that hosts the site's systems that runs on the VPS that occupies the server hardware, that was rebooted due to unplanned maintenance by the provider, was suspended while being backed up and turned off to prevent any lose of the site data.

The site did have issues that is now pushing the upgrade into a new approach, that may mean all accounts need to be done again, once the new site is ready for use. You don't need an account to read or even submit an advert.

Details:
Hi. I bought this via eBay last week it’s not what I need. It is I believe one of a set probably the first as thread depth at the top is only around 1.2mm or maybe a stub acme. Bottom of tap is easy fit in 0.75”. It is definitely twin start as labelled and it is also labelled 1” x 4 ACME. Made by Hughes Photos should show the markings. If it’s of use to a anybody I’d be happy to post it . Really all I want is to pass it on where it may be of some use, if only the eBay description had been better.

Wanted: Acme tap 3/4 8 tpi LH or a nut

Mon 22nd Jun '20

Details:
Hi I’m now half way to sorting my lead screw nut for the X axis so whilst the machine is dismantled I may as well sort the Y axis lead nut as well. However this is acme 3/4 8 tpi left hand, which means not much room for a boring bar to make one on the lathe so I thought maybe I could find a tap but It’s not so easy, if it was RH it would be easier but it’s LH. As the nut is a cast iron part I will have to modify that by sleeving it with a new bronze nut, so all I need to make things easy is the correct tap or a bronze nut, can anybody help before I attempt to cut the thread on the lathe.
Everybody needs a lockdown project this is one of about 4!
