Details: A cast iron underdrive stand for a Schaublin 70 lathe. Just the stand and the two end panels for the legs - no drive unit, countershaft or lathe. The switchgear still exists, but is sitting disconnected in the right hand leg stand. Very heavy (approx 200kg). It's on a couple of trolleys so can be wheeled about to some extent, but I have no lifting facilities. Bought with the lathe and accessories that came with it, but those are now on a bench and the stand is surplus to my needs. At a pinch I might be able to put it on a pallet, but you'd have to organise collection etc...

Details: A Lorch LLV lathe with: - lever collet holding tailstock, including a drill chuck - a lever cut off slide - a lever 2-axis slide with stops - a motor (works, but not PAT tested) and countershaft - a wheel actuated turret tailstock (possibly not Lorch, but fits) - a few centres - a 3-jaw chuck and chuck key - height adjustable tool holders - one complete, one missing the wedge - a couple of collets - no headstock draw bar (I think the one from the tailstock will fit) Collection only please so you can see what you're getting, and it's also quite heavy. I've standardised on W12 Schaublin kit, so the smaller Lorch stuff is now surplus.

Details: More stuff from the back of the workshop cupboard! Three imperial micrometers. All are in good working order:- Moore and Wright 0-2" micrometer with 0.001" (1 thou) resolution, model 940X. Useable condition in original wooden box with original decimal conversion chart, 1" setting gauge and adjusting spanners. Box dirty and missing half of the catch £10 Mitutoyo 0-1" micrometer with 0.001" (one thou) resolution. Model 103-127. Uses a friction drive (rather than the usual ratchet) to limit closing pressure. Very good condition in the original (plastic) case and with the original instruction leaflet and adjusting spanner. Carbide anvils. £7.50 Moore and Wright 2-3" vernier micrometer with 0.0001" (1/10 thou) resolution, model 966. Details: This is a good quality kiln, bought from a glass blower. I have only used it in anger once to anneal some cast iron, it has sat under the bench ever since. I have plugged it in and left it on for about an hour, as the photos show it appears to be working as it should. The kiln chanber is 185mm wide, 130mm high by 610mm long. When I purchased the kiln it was fitted with a 13A plug. I have since changed it for a 15A one. I would suggest 15A is more appropriate. This is a substantial and heavy beast but should fit in a hatch back or estate. I can help with loading.

Details: Update 29/09:the selection is getting less varied because most of the shorter screws in each of the diameters are now gone. The majority of the remaining screws are in the 2" to 5" long range and are of limited use to most people. I'm happy to provide a list of sizes to anyone who may be interested in the remaining items. So far, people have bought 28 packs and have raised £58 for our club (with Royal Mail earning the rest). Thank you! A minimum of 1.5Kg of 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2" (mostly 3/8") BSW tensile steel Allen cap screws. Never been used but surface rust from poor storage. These were recovered from the skip of a well-known engineering firm that cleared their production lines by a diligent member of our club. Sold for less than the price of five new screws on Fleabay. Handy to have around if you have any old British-made machinery. Forty to fifty screws approx, the photo is representative. Includes a few longer bolts (3", 4" and 5"), which is a good source of tough steel for model engineers. £2.05p per bag plus carriage at cost. Because of the way the postage rates work, buyers can have one bag for £6.00, two bags for £11.75, three bags for £13.80, four bags for £15.85 and five bags for £17.90, all inclusive. More that that goes outside Royal Mail weight scales. Payment is by bank transfer only (unless you are holidaying on the Isle of Wight when cash is king!) Parcel will be sent by Tracked 48 and I will email you the tracking number once collection is booked. Don't forget to let me know your postal address. Its unusual and difficult to replicate because of the external worm-wheel used by the power feed mechanism. The internal Acme thread is 5 TPI (ie 200 thou table movement per revolution)
