Details:
Optical Machine Tools universal tool head, This is a very useful boring and facing head, full details and dimensions are available on the Lathes website under OMT on page 2. This is not an automatic feed facing head but usefully the cutter can be advanced while the machine is running, in conventional boring the spindle does not have to be stopped to advance the cut, and by rotating the knurled ring or using the key facing and internal recessing can be carried out. I have found this to be incredibly versatile, for sale as I managed to find a smaller No 0 version more suited to the smaller machines I now have. Quite a lump but have used it ok on my Myford VMF. Has a 7/8 plain shank and comes with R8 collet and 40 int adaptor, and the original key for advancing the cutter, using this gives a very smooth feed for facing. All in excellent condition, with a non original but useful box. Post is RM tracked 24 with signature at cost (weight 6.2 kg) Happy to pack for your own courier to collect, and collection welcome. First item in the great downsizing sale!
