Details: Pfeil & Co. London. Plain lathe with, unusually,backgear. Restored by the previous owner and in good condition. Everything works as it should. comes with it's original 3 jawchuck (now lacking jaws), T rest, drive plate, spanner and some tooling. Easily dismantled for loading. Lathe is in South Norfolk.
Details: I’m making record cutting needles for the analog recording industry. The needles are very small (0.6mm X 0.6mm X 5mm) They are mounted in what is called a “Neumann” shank (see sketch). Please ignore the round needle. My needle blanks are 0.6mm square therefore rather than a round 0.72mm hole I require a 0.6mm square hole. It can be a through hole. Any thoughts on what sort of machine I'd need to make these? I'm not adverse to someone else making them if they have the equipment. Cheers, Wilson. BTW if you want to phone, text me first. Details: Large multi purpose bench shear with compound lever action. If you have the strength and/or weight will cut plate, strip, T section and angle up to 5mm thick. Bar and round up to 20mm. This is a large heavy duty piece of kit. Metre rule in pictures give indication of size. Because of size and weight, collection from Royston Herts area preferred although alternative means of delivery can be discussed.

Details: This is a substantial and well-made fixed steady which looks to be for a 6" lathe or possibly a Harrison M250 as it appears to be in the later Harrison livery. It was bought in error for a Colchester Student but the centring is slightly (about 0.500") too low although it fits the Vee-bed perfectly. It may fit a Chipmaster (but not the later Bantam range). To be honest, I really don't know for which lathe it was intended but I am fairly certain it was British Made for a British machine. I would be happy to take and supply any measurements that you may require to assess its suitability. (I could have raised it slightly to fit my Student but I acquired the correct steady so this accessory has been 'under-the-bench' for a few years). As it is very heavy collection would be preferable but I would be happy to package it to send by post or courier at cost.

Details: Came with an old Hardinge capstan lathe that was sadly scrap. The close up picture shows the worst case collet after 5 minutes with a scotch brite and then light wire wheel. Time spent would have these lightly rusted collets back to presentable order. There are a mixture of collets here including square, hex, and external types, please study the (unimpressive) photos. Open to offers.

Details: Wyssbrod automatic wheel and pinion cutter. The illustration on the brochure gives you an ideal of it capability and capacity. It’s fully working but could do with a good clean and oil. It comes with a full manual and two index plates. One 81 teeth and one 56 teeth. It can cut any divisables of those plates. It also has four blank plates that can easily be cut to your requirements. It uses standard W8 collets, not suppled. 3ph 415vac. I run it off a rotary converter.
Details: Hauser 241 pivot Burnisher. This is a beautiful machine. As you can see from the photos, it’s the bench mounted version. It’s 3ph. 415vac. I run it on a rotary converter. It has built in lubrication pump and process timer. It comes with one carbide rest and two carbide burnishing wheels. One 4.5mm wide and one 7.5mm. Neither of the wheels are chipped It doesn’t come with any collets as it uses standard W8, and I use the ones from my watchmakers lathe. Please see photo for secifications. I also have the manual.
Details: This is a beautifully delicate, bench top high speed drilling machine. It's an ex-university machine. Ideal for clock and watchmaking. Chuck capacity 0 - 4.7mm 3ph 415 - 240vac so could easily be made to run on a VFD. It has a built in low voltage light. It comes with high and low speed pullies. It does require a new belt, these are readily avaialable. I believe It's 1950’s as the handles are chrome plated. It has excellent sensitivity. You can feel a No 80 drill with no problem.
Details: these are a gift from above, grab the tiny part you seek with one hand, doesn't sound overly miraculous until you use it ,then its easy to appreciate. came from one of the Concorde designers who liked to build clocks .Substantial and heavy .Case is mild steel, drawers are Aluminium, possibly hand made at aerospace Hatfield, long gone now. come and collect or you can arrange a courier.
