Details: Delta bench top pillar drill in good condition. A british solid built machine. It has a jacobs 3/8'' chuck that runs dead true complete with key. It is fitted with a single phase 1425RPM motor but if you are working with wood all the time I have a 2800RPM motor I will fit instead at no extra cost. Details: small milling machine with no identification marks so does anyone have any ideas please. Parts of it look to be home mods but the knee and basics are there with the exception of the actual milling table slide. So Does anyone recognise this machine please.
Details: I have a Record Power morticing machine, about two years ago I took it apart to de-rust it, however when I recently came to reassemble it I have problem. If you have one you will know that the main body slides on the vertical column actuated by a rack and the bracket that carries the rack pinion and handle is clamped to the column and when assembled this assembly is inside the main body casting, which slides up and down on the column to drive the auger/chisel into the work. The problem I have is that the main body with the motor etc has radial movement of several degrees, this only limited by the rack pinion shaft in the rough casting. A simple problem, but for the life of me I cannot see any machined surface or method that could be used as a guide for the work head, am I missing something? I know that it is a fairly crude machine but it is unusable at present. Many thanks for any help! Peter.

Details: Those of us with old model Deckel Fp1 or Alexander Master Toolmaker milling machines have to obtain feeds using changewheels. These come in pairs which give two feed speeds each by swapping the gears over. I have been asked to make some of these as I have before and prior to going ahead I thought I might see if anyone else needs some. I have found that sometimes the oem gears will not always mesh with mine, perhaps some are DP and others Module tooth form so I would supply them in pairs that I can test them on my machine. The gears will be hobbed with exception of the largest size which will be milled, they will have the correct driving dogs on the boss and made in mild steel which seems to be satisfactory as my set have been in use for over 20 years. The pairs are 19/81, 27/73, 35/65 and 45/55. Each pair is priced at £50 plus post. As they have to be made you must allow me a little time but I will not ask for payment until they are ready.

Comes complete with I-gaging DRO scales fitted, Bluetooth BluDro sender unit and a 7" tablet as a readout all powered from a PC power supply which is included. Converted to 2 speed belt drive (no silly plastic gears). Has spindle speed readout. Also reversing switch fitted. Also a rudimentary variable speed table feed motor fitted which works but needs finishing off. Table 460mm x 120mm. 290mm clearance between bed and quill. Details: In a job lot of assorted engineering bits I've just bought from a local auction, there are some items I don't recognise... They're 'bars' (about 1/2" square x 51/2" long) of hardened tool steel, with, what looks like, the profile of an involute gear tooth ground into the end (with 'relief' on the underside). The relief makes me think they must be cutting tools - but what for? They can't be to cut gears (the single tooth form would interfere with the next tooth), so are they to manufacture tools (such as circular involute gear cutters) with which to cut gears? The only other thing I can think of is that they may be gauges - but, if so, why the relief? I've got 10 in total, 1 is un-marked and the others are marked as follows:- 12 DP No 5 12 DP No 6 13 DP No 2 13 DP No 5 14 DP No 2 44 DP No 8 64 DP No 2 7.5 mod No 8 101 special Does anyone recognise them?
